About Best Food Scale

Best Food Scale publishes practical guides to weighing food, coffee and other small items. Our aim is to help readers understand the measurements that matter before choosing a scale.

How we research products

For a research-based comparison, we check specifications against the manufacturer's or brand owner's published product pages and manuals. We compare capacity, displayed increments, tare, platform and display design, and the limitations those features create for a particular use. We link to the sources so readers can verify the model and check for changes.

Published specifications are not a substitute for measuring a scale with calibrated weights. We identify a guide as research-based when we have not performed the same hands-on tests on each product. We do not give numerical accuracy or durability scores based solely on a product listing.

How we update guides

This site began as a collection of product reviews and was rebuilt in 2026. Some older articles remain available while we revisit their products, measurements and claims. A new year in a title does not, by itself, mean every product has been retested. On substantially revised pages, we explain what was checked and show an update date. If an older recommendation no longer has enough evidence, we replace or remove it.

Affiliate links and editorial decisions

Some links to Amazon may earn us a commission if you buy after following them. That does not change your price. We mark affiliate links as sponsored. Product availability and prices can change, so check the seller's current listing before ordering. Where a manufacturer's page is the clearest source for a specification, we link to it directly.

Corrections and contact

If you find a wrong measurement, outdated product or broken link, please use our contact form and include the page URL and the issue. We review corrections against the cited source and update the guide when warranted.
